About me

 

My full name is Marey Allyson Macdonald. I was born in South Africa in 1952.
I am a professor in the department of educational sciences in the School of Education at the University of Iceland.

I studied physics in South Africa, science education in the United States and management at Henley Management College in the UK in a distance learning program and have worked in teaching, research and development in South Africa, Malawi and Iceland.

I am married to Tumi Tómasson and we have lived in Iceland since 1983, first in Skagafjörður in the north of Iceland and since 1998 in Reykjavík. We were in Malawi from 1992 to 1996.
