About me

I completed my PhD in Educational Psychology/Teaching and Learning from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. I am an Associate Professor and a Director for Educational Development at the School of Health Sciences, University of Iceland. My work involves teaching workshops, courses, and educational conferences, providing personal advice to teachers, as well as conducting research on teaching strategies, identity, self-regulation, and teacher and student motivation. Futhermore, I work together with teams of like-minded researchers, e.g., at Virginia Tech, University of Notre Dame in the USA, University of Dundee in Scotland, and a large group in the Nordic Network. Additionally, I serve as an advisor for masters theses and doctoral dissertations.
