Anna Karlsdóttir, PhD.& Cand.scient.soc


I have worked as a researcher and supervisor in Denmark, Iceland and Canada and have therefore extensive experience from academic administration, research and tutoring at university level.
I have gained experience in international knowledge networks and project teams. Last years I have focused on research on tourism and community changes in the circumpolar North, primarily related to cruise tourism. I have also been preoccupied with gender and resource governance in the North, rural development and reorientation of the rural economy (including multifunctionality of agriculture and the new food regime) as well as learning and researching about different forms of mobilities and employment related mobilities (Canada, North Atlantic and Nordic Asian relations).I publish in international peer-reviewed litterature as well as other channels I feel are relevant and worthwhile. I am experienced in leading projects, conferences, meeting and research teams. My language skills are excellent, I am result oriented and have excellent language skills, planning skills as well as social skills.
