I am Professor of Second Language Studies at the University of Iceland, Director of the Vigd\u00eds Finnbogad\u00f3ttir Institute of Foreign Languages and the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Cultures.<\/p>\n
Board memberships includes the University of Iceland Governing Council, the University's IT Services, and the National and University Library of Iceland. I represent Iceland on UNESCO's Advisory Committee for the Decade of Indigenous Languages.<\/p>\n
Current research interests include Multilingualism, Computer Assisted Language Learning, and Language Contact. I am the project director for Icelandic Online, a large LMOOC,\u00a0 www.icelandiconline.com<\/a>.
