I gave a presentation there on cross-border computing via portals:<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"EOSC in the Nordics &amp; Baltics: the end or a new beginning?\" width=\"474\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MEuaSOEbEgI?start=22991&feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The week after was the IEEE eScience conference, where I gave two presentations:<\/p>\n<p>A presentation on the Interaction Room for HPC and ML (used in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe-raise.eu\/\">CoE RAISE<\/a> project) at the <a href=\"https:\/\/se4science.org\/workshops\/\">SE4SCIENCE workshop<\/a>: <a href=\"http:\/\/notendur.hi.is\/~helmut\/publications\/SE4SCIENCE_InteractionRoom_Neukirchen.ppt\">PPT<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/notendur.hi.is\/~helmut\/publications\/SE4SCIENCE_InteractionRoom_Neukirchen.pdf\">PDF<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And another presentation at the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/rewords22\/home\">REWORDS workshop<\/a> related to the above EOSC-Nordic presentation: <a href=\"http:\/\/notendur.hi.is\/~helmut\/publications\/REWORDS_Cross_Border_Workflows.ppt\">PPT<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/notendur.hi.is\/~helmut\/publications\/REWORDS_Cross_Border_Workflows.pdf\">PDF<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When I arrived in the US, I noticed that my phone with a SIM card from Vodafone Iceland did not work. Once I had WiFi, I was able to send Vodafone Iceland an email and their answer was that there are currently issues with their roaming in the US.
