{"id":10,"date":"2010-11-15T14:48:11","date_gmt":"2010-11-15T14:48:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/uni.hi.is\/mc\/research-interests\/"},"modified":"2023-06-03T08:39:53","modified_gmt":"2023-06-03T08:39:53","slug":"research-interests","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/uni.hi.is\/mc\/research-interests\/","title":{"rendered":"Research interests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My main research interests include European integration and political theory, in\u00a0particular issues connected to democracy, communication, civil society, and the public sphere.<\/p>\n<p>My ongoing research includes work on disinformation and post\u2010truth politics.<\/p>\n<p>I am the Academic Coordinator\/Principal Investigator for the following EU-funded projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the Jean Monnet Network <a href=\"https:\/\/ams.hi.is\/en\/projects\/post-truth-politics\/\">\"Post\u2010Truth Politics, Nationalism and the (De\u2010)Legitimation\u00a0of European Integration\"<\/a> (2019-2023)<\/li>\n<li>the Horizon Europe project <a href=\"https:\/\/ams.hi.is\/en\/projects\/reclaim\/\">RECLAIM - Reclaiming Liberal Democracy in the Postfactual Age<\/a> (2022-2025)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I am also the Principal Investigator for a three-year project (2023-2025) called \"The Post-Truth Challenge to Quality Media: Evidence from Iceland, Canada and Germany\", funded by the University of Iceland Research Fund.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My main research interests include European integration and political theory, in\u00a0particular issues connected to democracy, communication, civil society, and the public sphere.
