I earned a PhD from the Department of History at the University of Iceland in 2012 and have held a post at the Department of Folklore, Ethnology and Museum studies since 2014, serving as Head of Faculty of Sociology, Anthropology and Folkloristics 2022-2024. I teach and research in areas of critical heritage studies, body culture, subculture and everyday life.
