I was born in Flj\u00f3t in Skagafjordur in North-Iceland in 1953. I finished matriculation examen from Menntask\u00f3linn vi\u00f0 Tj\u00f6rnina in 1973 and BEd from The Icelandic University of Educatin in\u00a0 1978.<\/p>\n
I was a compulsory school teacher from 1978 - 2005 at \u00c1sask\u00f3li, later called Gn\u00fapverjask\u00f3li, then Brautarholts- og Gn\u00fapverjask\u00f3li and is now called \u00dej\u00f3rs\u00e1rsk\u00f3li.<\/p>\n
I was on the board of The Teachers Union of South-Iceland for a few years, on the board of ITC J\u00f3ra in Selfoss, the president of F\u00cdKNF (The association of Icelandic Innovation and entrepreneurial teachers) and on the board of The Association of doctoral students in The Iceland University of Educastion.
\nI finished my masters degree in pedagogy and education from the University of Iceland in\u00a0 2005 with the research project The emergece of a new school subject. Innovation educastion in compuslory schools.<\/p>\n
I finished my PhD from The University of Iceland School of Education in 2011 and my research is called\u00a0 The location of innovation education in Icelandic compulsory schools.
\nI am married to Valdimar J\u00f3hannsson farmer at\u00a0 St\u00f3ri-N\u00fapur in Gn\u00fapverjahreppur and we have five children, J\u00f3hann, Brynd\u00eds, Anna Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur, J\u00f3n Einar og Au\u00f0ur Gr\u00f3a and four grandsons, Valdimar, \u00edvar Dagur, Krist\u00f3fer Logi and one unnamed.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
