Profile image

Hverju vill fólk með þroskahömlun ráða í eigin lífi? Á það að stunda nám í háskóla? Hvernig má stuðla að bættu kynheilbrigði meðal þess? Hvernig má hindra nauðung og þvinganir á heimilum fólks með þroskahömlun? Spurningarnar hér að framan og margar fleiri móta rannsóknina sem bókin Aðstæðubundið sjálfræði – Líf og aðstæður fólks með þroskahömlun byggist á. Þar var unnið með femínískar kenningar um aðstæðubundið sjálfræði og þær notaðar til að greina rannsóknargögnin sem voru að mestu unnin samkvæmt eigindlegri rannsóknarhefð.
