Work in Progress: Presentation at the University of Iceland on philosophy and biology

I'm giving this presentation on "Interdisciplinary Research: Philosophy and Biodiversity" at the "work in progress" series at the philosophy department of the University of Iceland. Basically I'll give a summary of what we are working on at the Museum of Natural History.

2. febrúar 15-16:30, Aðalbygging 220.

Description: First I will give some reflections on the concept "interdisciplinary" - how it is used, what it often is in practice, and what I think it should be. Then I'll move on to a case and outline the interdisciplinary project I am currently working on at the Museum of Natural History: how we are working and the topic we are working on which involves philosophers (me) and biologists working together on investigating biodiversity from different perspectives.
