Climate (In)Justice: Talk at Equality Days, University of Iceland

As part of Equality Days the University of Iceland is hosting the seminar Planet B: Thoughts on the environment, equality and the future, February 7 2020 from 1.30-15.00, in which I will give the following talk .

Climate (In)justice: How do climate disasters affect global inequality?
Will climate change lead to the collapse of political order, or to the strengthening of existing structures? This talk examines the outcome of recent disasters to learn what we can expect of the future. Climate disasters tend to increase the inequalities that already exist, but in every disaster there also grows new forms of community.
