Experience of management systems
Since I graduated as an engineer from The University of Iceland in year 1991 I have been working more or less related to some management systems. The first one and a half year I was working as a quality manager in Borgarplast, a plastic fish tub manufacturing company, Borgarplast introducing quality management system according to ISO 9001. That company became the first icelandic company to be certified according to that standard and I think the third company in Iceland to became certified according to those ISO 9000 quality management standards.
The next seven years I was working as a consultant in a consultant company named Ráðgarður and later IMG, neither existing any more under their names but that company merged to some other companies and is now Capacent in Icelend but my most important coworkers from that time ar now directing the consultant firms 7.is and Intellecta.
After my years in the consultant business I became a quality manager and later also manager of data security in one of the biggest computer companies in Iceland, SKÝRR, now Advania.
Along with my job through the tim I have also been teaching internal audits and quality management in the faculty of Continuing Education in the University of Iceland.
Since Year 2011 I have been working again as consultant and as a quality manager in Staki a small computer company along with my study in the Earth science department of The University of Iceland.
