Group Members

Ph.D Students

1. Mr. Sreejith S. Jayabhanvan

Sreejith joined the group in November 2019  after finishing his master in chemistry from Central University Tamil Nadu, India. His project is based on supramolecular gels and their application as a crystalizing medium.

2. Mr. Shubham Sharma

Shubham joined the group in 2021 and he completed his Master's from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal (IISERB) in 2019. His PhD work is aimed to develop organo-tin(IV) and rhodium(II) compounds as anti-cancer agents. This is done in collaboration with Prof. Helga Ögmundsdóttir and Prof. Margret Ögmundsdóttir, Biomedical center University of Iceland.

Post-doctoral fellows

1.  Dr. Dipankar Ghosh

After completing his PhD, Dipankar joined the group as a post doctoral fellow in June 2020. Dipankar was awarded the University post-doctoral fellowship in January 2021 and his project aims to develop supramolecular gels based on peptides for anti-bacterial studies.

Master Students

Mr. Daníel Arnar Tómasson

Daníel joined the group in May 2016. His BS project was based on the characterisation of supramolecular gels with amide and urea functionality. He joined as a s Master student in 2017 on a project based on structure property correlation of supramolecular gels.
