My main research interests include European integration and political theory, in particular issues connected to democracy, communication, civil society, and the public sphere.
My ongoing research includes work on disinformation and post‐truth politics.
I am the Academic Coordinator/Principal Investigator for the following EU-funded projects:
- the Jean Monnet Network "Post‐Truth Politics, Nationalism and the (De‐)Legitimation of European Integration" (2019-2023)
- the Horizon Europe project RECLAIM - Reclaiming Liberal Democracy in the Postfactual Age (2022-2025)
I am also the Principal Investigator for a three-year project (2023-2025) called "The Post-Truth Challenge to Quality Media: Evidence from Iceland, Canada and Germany", funded by the University of Iceland Research Fund.
