My resarch has always been heavily focused on theoretical syntax within a broadly generative framework. I have mostly worked on Modern Icelandic and Modern Faroese and my topics include case marking and synchronic variation, exclamatives and the left periphery, double objects, Object Shift, nominative objects, preposition doubling and the new passive. More recently, I have done some work on sign language and stylistics.
I am currently the principal investigator, along with Cherlon Ussery, in a three-year project on ditransitives in Insular Scandinavian (see https://tvoandlog.hi.is/en/).
