The New Viking Era?
I really enjoyed meeting old colleagues and students at Paris-Sorbonne University and discuss how the small Nordic states manage to have a say within the EU and the UN. The title of the lecture was The New Viking Era? The Nordic … Continue reading
Lífleg umræða um Evrópumál
Það sem eftir stendur eftir Evrópuumræðu helgarinnar er að það ríkir óvissa um Evrópustefnu Íslands. Utanríkisráðherra segir eitt - forseti Alþingi og formaður utanríkismálanefndar Alþingis annað.
The picture says it all
A photo by a Norwegian journalist says more than many words about Iceland's European Policy. 🙂
Algjör óvissa um Evrópustefnu Íslands
Það varð bara allt vitlaust! Það sem stendur eftir er að ekki bara hefur ríkisstjórnin sett Evrópustefnu Íslands í uppnám hún hefur búið til stjórnarskrárkrísu. Hvort ræður Alþingi eða ríkisstjórnin för? Getur ríkisstjórn ónýtt ákvarðanir fyrri þinga án þess að … Continue reading
Evrópumálin aftur á dagskrá
Gott að koma Evrópumálunum aftur á dagskrá - Staksteinar klikka ekki. - Það er mjög mikilvægt að hefja ítarlega umfjöllun um stöðu Ísland í alþjóðasamfélaginu og áhrif þess á hag okkar allra eftir að utanríkisstefna núverandi og síðustu ríkisstjórnar náði ekki tilsettum … Continue reading

Ómögulegt að spá fyrir um hverjir mynda næstu ríkisstjórn
Interview with Vísir on the upcoming UK elections. It's a tight race at the moment - too close to call.
Continue reading
